Hi there friends, I'm Lily! A beautiful friendly little girl who is loving life at Celia Cross. I was rescued several years ago in the UK, but I am originally from Romania where I was saved from the streets. I had a really tough time on the streets and have gone through some horrible experiences which I haven't forgotten about. Luckily, I have found my family at Sun Valley Kennels and spend each day living life to the max!
When I first arrived I was incredibly nervous of the world around me, and I still am to a certain extent. With plenty of TLC and help from the kind staff and volunteers I have built my confidence and found that life can be amazing! However, as I am still very fearful of new people and situations I am proud to say I have found my forever home here!
My favourite things in life include, cuddles, tummy rubs, treats and toys. I love my toys so so much! I have a fabulous octopus toy from one of my best volunteer friends, he takes pride of place on my bed and I snuggle up with him every night.
I also have lots of canine friends here, my best friend Mally and I like to spend time mooching about and checking out what's going on, before suddenly racing off for a bit of rough and tumble fun!
I love my human friends more than anything in the world, however I find strangers to be very scary and I sometimes bark at them. If I bark at you please don't think it's because I don't like you! It's simply that I'm scared and don't know what else to do. Once I get to know you I promise I will be your best friend in the whole world! I'll roll over on my back to let you tickle my tummy, and I'll take treats from you ever so gently, although I can't guarantee that I'll eat them as I am quite the fuss pot!
The staff and volunteers are incredibly proud of me and how far I've come. I have grown so much in my time here, transforming from a scrawny terrified street hound to a confident, friendly girl with a real love for life.
If you would like more information about me, or would like to donate towards my care please feel free to get in contact.
Lots of tail wags and kisses, Lily x
